William "Rusty" Franklin Garrison, Jr, age 60, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
Rusty is survived by the light of his life and loving wife of 31 years, Cindy Garrison; his mother Elizabeth, his children: William Garrison III, Melissa (Jerry) Phillips, Cassandra (Julie) Garrison, Ian Garrison; grandchildren: Steven, Sarah, Kaori; his sister, Linda (Ralph) Santiago; and many nephews and nieces.
Rusty was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Garrison, Sr.
Rusty was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 7, 1959. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Rusty's greatest joys were his wife, children, and grandchildren. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and National Guard. For the last twenty years he worked as Director of Surveillance at various casinos. Rusty was an avid and proficient hunter and outdoorsman, and loved sharing this experience with others. He is remembered as a generous, hard-working, self-sacrificial man.
A Memorial Gathering is scheduled 10:00AM until Noon Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, 5239 Main Street, Spring Hill, Tennessee. Memorial contributions in memory of Rusty may be made to the American Heart Association.
