Robert Russell Jr.

Robert J. "Bobby" Russell Jr., age 82. A native of Spring Hill, TN went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2019. Bobby was a lifetime member of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church, charter member of the Spring Hill Lions Club and served 30 plus years on the Spring Hill Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving from 1959-1965. He received his American Farmers degree in 1957 and spent many years farming. Bobby drove a supply truck for Cameron Oil Company in Franklin, TN. and drove a school bus for Maury County Schools before eventually retiring from the City of Spring Hill Public Works Department in 2005. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by parents, Robert Jones Russell Sr. and Sara E. Petway Russell; sister, Catherine "Betty" Ray. He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Ann C. Russell; daughters, Deborah "Debbie" (Chris) Newman and Wanda (Mark) Sawyer; grandchildren, Daniel (Lesley) Sawyer and Carrie Sawyer; great grandchildren, McKinley and Bowen Sawyer; extended family, Gwynne and Pam Evans, David and Deanna Hood, Mark and Melanie Evans and all their families as well as many other loving nieces, nephews and family members. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Russell Yoder and Rev. Ray Chandler officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Saturday and one hour prior to the service. Burial in Spring Hill Memorial Park with full honors by the Spring Hill Fire Department. Active Pallbearers will be James Gary, Joe Spencer Gary, Ben Chandler, Daniel Sawyer, Gwynne Evans, Mark Evans, David Hood, Corbin Evans and Landon Evans. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Spring Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Lions Club of Spring Hill and members of Spring Hill United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spring Hill United Methodist Church (designated for hearing devices), Spring Hill Fire Department or the Spring Hill Lions Club.
