Ralph Martin Alexander, age 70, passed away on September 28, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee, after battling cancer. He was born on September 11, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan.

Ralph was a graduate of Central High School in Columbia, Tennessee. He went on to build a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and pride in honest labor. For more than 26 years, he owned and operated Alexander Backhoe & Dozer, his excavation and trucking company. His company was very successful, and he was respected and loved by many of his associates.

Those who knew Ralph knew a man with a tremendous work ethic and a deeply caring heart. He loved his wife and children with all his heart, and his grandchildren were truly his world. He loved them dearly and took great joy in spoiling them. Ralph worked tirelessly and rarely took much time for himself, always focused on providing for and taking care of his family. He was the kind of person who would be there whenever someone needed him, and his soft heart led him to help anyone he could. He also found happiness in the simple things he loved, including listening to classic rock, watching westerns, and spending time on his farm with his horses and mules.

Above all, Ralph will be remembered as a loving family man. He is survived by his wife, Kristin Alexander; his daughter Jerie Alexander and Leanne; his son, Jeremy Alexander; and his daughter Gabryel Rinehart and J.T. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Sadie and Emmett Alexander; Luke, Landon, and Tate Alexander; and Hudson, Logan, and Rowan Rinehart, each of whom brought him great pride and joy.

He is also survived by his brother Loyd Alexander and Susan; his sister Debra Alexander and Tim; and his sister, Sue Boucher. Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Milton Alexander; his mother, Laverne Alexander; and his brothers, Gene Alexander and Eddie Alexander.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Memorial Park, Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5239 Main St., Spring Hill, Tennessee 37174. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m., also at Spring Hill Memorial Park, Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Ralph Martin Alexander leaves behind a legacy of steadfast love, hard work, generosity, and devotion to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
