Mr. Edwin Matthews

MATTHEWS, Mr. Edwin Dale, age 61 of Columbia, TN. passed away December 27, 2012. Services will be held at a later date. He was a civilian employee with the department of the Navy as a Mechanical Engineer. He spent many years as a volunteer EMT with the Brooke Volunteer Fire Department in Stafford, VA. He felt his greatest accomplishment in life was being a good father and grandfather. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He set the standard pretty high for how to be an incredible man. He is survived by wife of nine years, Evean Matthews; parents, Lyle and Effie Mallard Matthews; sons, James "Matt" Harper, Jason Matthews, David (Rebekah) Beck, Thomas Beck; daughters, Rebecca (Jared) Robison, Cara (Graham) Russell, Jill (Mike) Ellington, Stephanie (William) Harmon; brother, Roger (Susie) Matthews; grandchildren, Ashlee and Kalee Harper, Jason Jr. and Jailynn Matthews, Zachery and Rachel Beck, William and Emily Robison, Justin, Autumn, Annabelle, Celina, and Joseph Russell, Robbie Harmon; many other loving family members and friends.
