Maria Medina, age 89, of Bayomon, Puerto Rico, passed away on August 14, 2026 in Franklin, TN.

Maria was born in Lares, Puerto Rico to Bernardo and Esperanza Medina on April 17, 1937. She received her Nursing Attendant License from St. Luke’s Hospital Center in New York City. Maria spent her days raising her family, loving everyone, watching reality tv and staying up to date with the news. She loved music, dancing, flowers and all things beautiful. Maria was known for never leaving the house without her eyeliner, lipstick, and her hair and nails done. Maria never met a stranger and those who love her know that you never left her house without your stomach or your heart full.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, her son Manny, her brothers Izzy and Frankie, and her sister Iris. 

Maria is survived by her daughters, Eileen and Evelyn (Jerry); siblings, Perry, Willie, George, and Hilda; grandchildren, Jayson (Angelica), Lizmarie (Rajkomar), Joslyn (Joseph), and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Jayangelik, Mariette, Leahmar, Rajkomar, and Eliana.

A service will be held at 3PM Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, 5239 Main Street, Spring Hill, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be 1:00PM-3:00PM prior to the service.
