Joyce Pickering

PICKERING, Joyce Sudberry, born September 28, 1930, and died on November 26, 2022, at the age of 92. A past resident of Nashville, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joe Ray Pickering.  She is survived by two sons, Dennis (Pam) Pickering of Columbia, TN and Barry (Camille) Pickering of Cross Plains, TN; six grandchildren, Joe D. (Sarah) Pickering of Spring Hill, TN, Caleb (Stacey) Pickering of White House, TN, Stephen Pickering of Bowling Green, KY, Kali (Nathan) Richards of Nashville, TN, Erin (Darren) Dehut of Columbia, TN and Leah Guerrero (JJ) of Columbia, TN; eight great-grandchildren, Lena, Megan, Luke, Charlotte, Beckett, Samuel, Danny, and Elliott. Joyce was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Millersville Church of Christ. While living in Madison, TN, she, and Joe volunteered regularly with the Middle Tennessee Christian Medical Center.  She more recently worshipped with the Jackson Heights, Church of Christ in Columbia.  She was known for her sewing and crafting skills, using them to bless not only her family but children in Honduras through the Dorcas and MAGI Projects of Healing Hands International.  Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2022, 3:00-8:00PM at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home.   Interment will be on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 10:30AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
