Jeffrey Wade (“Jeff”) Musgrove, aged 65, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2025 at his home in Franklin, Tennessee. Jeff was born in Columbia, Tennessee on December 13, 1959 to his parents, Orvil and Dorothy Musgrove.
Jeff spent most of his formative years on his family farm off Sowell Hollow Road in Columbia, where he grew into his own alongside his beloved siblings Russ and Susan. Jeff didn’t have to look far for his soulmate Lisa, who grew up just over the hill and later joined him at Middle Tennessee State University. Jeff graduated with a degree in Aerospace Technologies in 1984 and married Lisa that same year before accepting his first job and relocating to Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1989, Jeff and Lisa returned to Tennessee, ultimately settling in Franklin, where they would raise their family and spend the rest of their lives. A talented and accomplished engineer, Jeff spent 30 years in automotive injection molding with Calsonic Kansei North America, where he retired a Senior Production Engineer in 2023. Jeff’s children Nathan, Zac and Caitlin, and his granddaughter Amelia, were his whole world.
A kind, gentle soul, Jeff was always quick to listen and slow to speak – a mark of his compassion for others and his kind, easy-going nature. Despite the considerable loss he experienced during his 65 years, Jeff remained a steadying force for all those around him – a constant source of comfort and support. Always one to introduce levity to even the most somber of moments, Jeff was ever-joking and constantly dreaming up your next new nickname. Although he had much life left to live, Jeff leaves this world a proud father and a happy man.
Jeff is survived by his children Nathan, Zac and Caitlin Musgrove, his granddaughter Amelia Musgrove, his sister Susan Musgrove, daughters in all-but-name, Katie Johannigman (wife of Nathan) and Chel’sea Hargrove (partner of Zac), and his nephews and niece, Brent (Erin) Musgrove, Jake Musgrove, and Emily (Jake) Musgrove Welsh. Jeff is predeceased by his wife Lisa Musgrove, his parents Orvil and Dorothy Musgrove, his brother Russ Musgrove, and his sister-in-law Karen Musgrove.
