James Lewis Lochridge

James Lewis Lochridge, 93, of Spring Hill, TN, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

James was born on January 30, 1933, to Thomas Hardin and Annie Ruth Lochridge. A lifelong farmer, James devoted his days to working the land he grew up on and faithfully preserving his family’s Century Farm. Through decades of dedication, he earned numerous farming achievements by simply doing what he loved. He was a man of quiet strength with a humble heart and someone whose kindness touched everyone that knew him.

He met his wife Lucy Lochridge, while attending grade school in Spring Hill. On January 20, 1954, after five years of dating, they began a marriage that lasted more than 72 years. They shared countless memories together on the farm, traveling, and spending time with family but their favorite place was the front porch, sitting in rocking chairs sharing conversation, laughter, and the simple joy of being together.

James lived a life rooted in hard work, humility, and God’s goodness, and his memory will continue to bless all who knew him.

James is preceded in death by son, Jimmy Lochridge. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Lochridge and their two sons Randy (Mary Ann) Lochridge and Tim (Stephanie) Lochridge; Grandchildren Kim (Bill Bob) West, Kelly (Tol) Swindell, Kami (Brent) Harvey, Megan (Phil) Stocker, Lindsey (Nick) Stowell, Rachel (Hagen) Gurley, Thomas (Brooke) Lochridge, and Sarah Lochridge; and 17, soon 18 great-grandchildren.
