James Brown, Jr.

James Charles "Jim" Brown, Jr. age 68 of Lewisburg, TN passed away November 10, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Maury county, TN to the late James "Sunbeam" & Dorothy "Dot" Gibson Brown. Jim was a retired Master Chief in the U.S. Navy where he served our country for 23 years. He was the Plant Manager at Wellcraft Marine in Bradenton, FL and later became the General Manager and Owner of Mountain Bay Marina in Pocono, PA. Jim moved to Lewisburg, TN where he was the Owner and Operator of U.S. Tank & Cryogenic Equipment. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brown of Palmetto, FL; sons, James C. "Jimmy" Brown III of Lewisburg, TN and Jonathan (Jennifer) Brown of Columbia, TN; daughter, Jennifer Brown of Palmetto, FL; brothers, Jeff (Julie Crane) Brown of Florence, AL and Joey Brown of Columbia, TN; sister, Jeannie Brown Phillips of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Kyla Glidden, Jillian Brown, Jonathan Brown, Jr., Riley Glidden, Jocelyn Brown, Kenley Glidden and Peyton Brown and several other loving family members. Funeral service will be held 7:00PM Monday, November 13, 2017 with visitation from 4-7PM Monday at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. A private burial with Military Honors will be held at Polk Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
