Ellie Elizabeth Taliaferro, age 18, of Spring Hill, TN, passed away on Monday, September 7th in Nashville, TN.

Ellie was born in Nashville, TN on April 4, 2008. She was the first grandchild on one side of her family and the first granddaughter on the other. We were in disbelief on the day she was born when her dad said in the delivery room, “oh my God, it’s a girl!” From that day on, she was full of life and found happiness in everything! She brough us more joy than we ever could have imagined. She loved her family, the big church, the little church, and her preschool class. While she faced 14 years of critical illness, she never once lost her tenacious spirit and fought like a conditioned fighter till the very end. In her words she always said, “we love God don’t’ we?” The Lord saw Ellie and all of us through more trials than we ever could have imagined. While we will miss her dearly, we rejoice and give Him all the glory for her heavenly restoration!

Ellie is preceded in death by great grandparents Joe and Lois Carter, Carol and Bing Janssen, William and Elizabeth Monroe, and Duncan and Edith Taliaferro. And grandparent, Jerry Taliaferro.

Ellie is survived by her parents: Mike and Kerri Taliaferro. Sister: Sadie Taliaferro. Grandparents: Neal and Lois Ellis and Allen and Sondra Janssen. Aunt and Uncles: Jill Janssen, Mark and Leslie Janssen, Jerry Lynn Taliaferro, Joe Taliaferro, and Tony Taliaferro. Cousins: Garrison Janssen, Jolie Janssen, Dawson Taliaferro, Dayton Taliaferro, and Dillon Taliaferro, Faith Taliaferro, Luke Taliaferro, McKenzie Taliaferro, Naomi Taliaferro. And many other extended family aunts, uncles, and cousins: The Brown, Janssen, Jennings, Lea, Monroe, Shadley, and Taliaferro families.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 12 from 9:30 – 11:00 am at The Church at Station Hill in Spring Hill, TN. Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be at 12:30 pm at the Spring Hill Memorial Park in Spring Hill, TN.

Pallbearers will be Joe Carter, Garrison Janssen, Mark Janssen, Dayton Taliaferro, and Joe Taliaferro.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Ellie Taliaferro Fund at Brentwood Baptist Church to purchase Bibles for children so they can all know the hope of Jesus.
