Mr. Duane Edward Carr, age 56, of Columbia, TN passed away October 25, 2015 at his residence.
He was retired from General Motors after 31 years of employment.
Duane thoroughly enjoyed working on cars, so much so that he added a shop to his house so that he could keep doing it after retirement. With having the shop he was able to continue all the bonds with the friendships that he had made through the years. Duane also enjoyed woodworking a trade he learned from his Dad.
Duane was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 10th, 1959. He is the son of William Carr and Louise Simonetti Carr.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 27 years, Valerie Carr; son, Jeff Carr; mother, Louise Simonetti Carr; step-son, Austin Ollinger; brother, Bill (Lisa) Carr and sister, Barbara Carr.
He is preceded in death by his Father William Carr.
Services will be held at 5:00PM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
