Diana Mae Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 31, 2025, at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN.
Born on March 17, 1950, Diana was the daughter of Dewey and Donna Campbell Tiemann. She grew up in Porter, Indiana, alongside her two sisters. This is where she met the love of her life, Leonard J. Smith. This grew into a lifelong partnership, and together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage.
Diana started working at Bethlehem Steel in the accounting department. She later continued her career in outside processing which brought her moving with her family to Spring Hill, TN in 2003. Her professional Journey was marked not only by excellence, but also by her ability to uplift and inspire those around her.
Beyond her career, Diana’s life was one of service and compassion. She was a Dale Carnegie Instructor, a devoted Sunday School Superintendent, and a hospice volunteer, among many other roles she embraced. No matter the setting, she lived with a heart for others, always striving to leave the world better than she found it.
Diana is survived by her loving husband, Leonard “Len” Smith; her daughter, Molly Reed(Logan); and her cherished grandchildren, Izabelle, Mathew, Quinten, and Emma. She is also survived by her sisters, Dewanna Kremke and Debbie Tiemann; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Todd Leonard Smith.
In Tennessee, Diana found her spiritual home at Peace Lutheran Church in Spring Hill, where she faithfully served her Lord and community. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church 762 Beechcroft Rd. Spring Hill, TN, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
