Dennis George Vaughn

Dennis George Vaughn, 73, of Spring Hill, TN, went to be with our Lord on July 9, 2023. Dennis passed away at home with his loving family and friends praying for him.  Dennis was born in Chicago, IL, where he lived until he joined the Navy at age 18. After the service, he attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL, graduating with a degree in business and finance. 

He married his wife, Pat, in 1981 and spent the majority of his career in sales, which moved them from Orange Park, FL, to Gulf Breeze, FL, Montgomery, AL and Alpharetta, GA. After retirement, Spring Hill, TN became home in order to be near his son Bill and family.

Dennis loved to cook, especially on his Big Green Egg, enjoyed music, and ushered at the Fox Theater in Atlanta for 10 years, where he and his wife enjoyed many musical productions. He was actively involved in Bible studies, both in GA and TN. He enjoyed playing canasta, dominoes and many other games with friends, along with putting together 1000 piece puzzles and riding his blue electric scooter, Harley. People in the community may not have known Dennis, but they knew the man on the scooter. 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lena Vaughn, and his older brother Ron. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, his beloved son, Bill and wife, Meredith, and three very special grandchildren, Grayer, Kehler, and Hale; and his younger brother, Tim.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 12 Noon at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. After the service a reception will be held at the Lodge in Southern Springs.
