Carolyn George, age 73, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born on October 13, 1951, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to the late Georgia Lamb George and Lewis W. George.
Carolyn was a 1969 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and went on to attend Middle Tennessee State University. She later continued her education at Nashville Tech, where she pursued her love of Botany and Plant Sciences. While she explored several career paths throughout her life, Carolyn always returned to her passion for plants and gardening. She found great joy in helping and advising clients at Riverbend Nursery in Thompson’s Station, where her knowledge and care were deeply appreciated and will be greatly missed.
At her core, Carolyn was a nurturer. She cared for her family, friends, coworkers, and every creature that crossed her path. Over the years, she welcomed many beloved pets into her home, each of them receiving her devoted love and care.
Carolyn’s faith was central to her life. She was deeply committed to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, placing her full trust in Him. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now in His presence—whole, restored, and at peace.
She is survived by her sisters, Cheryl Cline (Marty) and Cindy Lees (Andy); her nephew, David Cline; and her dear friend, Peggy Bray.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with one hour of visitation prior to the memorial service at Grace Episcopal Church, 5291 Main Street, Spring Hill, Tennessee.
